"Come, let us return to the LORD… He will revive us… let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him."
In the midst of judgment, Hosea calls the people to return to the Lord. God’s discipline is real, but it is not vindictive — it is aimed at restoration. He wounds to heal, He disciplines to revive.
There is urgency here: “Let us press on to acknowledge him.” This is not a passive faith but an active pursuit of the One who has promised to come to us “as surely as the sun rises.” God’s faithfulness is not in question; the only question is whether we will turn to Him.
In Christ, this revival is ours in full measure. Through His death and resurrection, He brings us from spiritual death to life, from coldness to renewed passion.
What would it mean for you to “press on” in seeking the Lord this week?
Lord, draw me back to You with all my heart. Revive me with the life only You can give. Help me press on to know You more. Amen.
