Christ in 1 Chronicles

Silence and stillness before God (2 minutes)
Scripture reading
Scripture reading:
1 Chronicles 16:8–10

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.”

Devotional

David’s song of thanks after the ark was brought to Jerusalem overflows with worship. Praise is not silent — it proclaims, sings, and tells of God’s wonderful acts.

This is more than private devotion; it’s public testimony. God’s people are called to make His name known among the nations. Praise is part of our witness, inviting others to see the goodness of God for themselves.

In Jesus, we have the ultimate reason to sing. His life, death, and resurrection are the greatest acts of God’s salvation, and our joy in Him is meant to be contagious.

Question to consider

How can your praise for God today point others to His goodness?

Prayer

Lord, let my lips and life tell of your greatness. Fill my heart with joy in your presence. Use my praise to draw others to you. Amen.
