Silence and stillness before God (2 minutes)
Scripture reading
Scripture reading:
Romans 8:32

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Devotional

Paul argues from the greater to the lesser. If God has already given us His greatest gift, His own Son, how could He withhold anything else we need? The cross is the ultimate proof of His generosity and love.

This truth silences our doubts about God’s goodness. When we question whether He cares, we look to Calvary. There, He did not spare His Son. If He gave us Jesus, the costliest gift of all, we can trust Him to provide everything else according to His wisdom.

“All things” does not mean indulgence in worldly desires but all that is necessary for life in Christ, perseverance in faith, and the ultimate inheritance of glory. God’s generosity is not stingy or reluctant, it is abundant and gracious.

Question to consider

How does remembering the gift of God’s Son give you confidence that He will provide for your every need?

Prayer

Generous God, thank you for not sparing your own Son but giving Him for me. Teach me to trust your provision in all things, knowing your love is abundant.
