…kindness…

Devotional

Kindness is the tender, gracious posture of God expressed through His people. It is love in action—small acts of mercy, gentle words, compassionate care. Kindness reflects the heart of Christ, who welcomed sinners and carried the weak.

The flesh often bends toward harshness, indifference, or self-interest. The Spirit softens us, giving us eyes to see others’ needs and hearts ready to respond. Kindness may look small, but it carries eternal weight. A kind word can restore hope; a kind act can open hearts to God’s love.

Efficiency is often valued higher than kindness. But Spirit-born kindness is never wasted. It is one of the most powerful witnesses to the presence of Christ in us.

Question to consider

Where might the Spirit be inviting you to show unexpected kindness this week?

Prayer

Jesus, thank you for your kindness to me. Soften my heart by your Spirit to notice the needs of others and to respond with compassion. Make my life a channel of your kindness.
