Silence and stillness before God (2 minutes)
Scripture reading
Scripture reading:
Luke 24:5-6

“Why do you look for the living among the dead?
He is not here; he has risen!”

Devotional

The cross was not the end — it was the doorway. Jesus stepped through the ultimate threshold: from death to life, from agony to glory, from the curse to the kingdom.

All of our liminal spaces find their meaning in His. Because He died and rose again, we can trust that every valley has a resurrection on the other side. Every shadowed season has a dawn. Every waiting room holds a future.

The tomb is empty. The risen Christ walks with us now, whispering, “Peace be with you.” And one day, all thresholds will close behind us as we enter the eternal kingdom — where there is no more in-between, only everlasting joy.

Until then, we wait with hope. We trust with courage. And we walk through every threshold with Him.

Question to consider

Where do you need resurrection hope in your current season — and how does the empty tomb reshape your view?

Prayer

Risen Jesus, thank you for walking through death so I could walk into life. Let your resurrection power fill every space of waiting and doubt in me. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen.
