Silence and stillness before God (2 minutes)
Scripture reading
Scripture reading:
Luke 1:38

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

Devotional

Mary’s threshold moment came with an angel’s message — a holy disruption. The promise was glorious, but the path would be anything but easy.

Pregnancy is itself a threshold: new life growing invisibly, quietly, in secret. Mary had to carry this promise in faith, through shame, misunderstanding, and silence. She said yes to a journey she didn’t fully understand.

Liminal space often requires that same surrender — “May it be to me as you have said.” We may not see how it will unfold, but we trust the One who speaks.

Jesus was growing in her — and the same is true for us. In our waiting seasons, the life of Christ is forming quietly within. Don’t rush the process. Let the promise grow.

Question to consider

Is there a promise from God you are carrying that requires quiet trust and patient surrender?

Prayer

Lord, I am your servant. Help me say yes even when I don’t understand. Let your Word grow in me and bring life at the right time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
