Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counsellor?’ ‘Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?’ For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Paul ends his great explanation of God’s saving plan with a doxology, a song of praise. Faced with the vastness of God’s wisdom, he does not analyse further; he worships.
This is the fitting conclusion to our journey. We began at Babel, where humanity sought to climb to the heavens through its own wisdom. We end here, on our knees, acknowledging that God’s wisdom is unsearchable, His knowledge beyond our reach.
AI may trace patterns, but God’s paths are beyond tracing out. Human projects may boast of progress, but all things are “from him and through him and for him.” The true “super intelligence” is not a machine, nor the collective mind of humanity, but the eternal God who holds all things together in Christ.
To this God, Paul says, belongs all glory forever. And so we echo his praise: Amen.
How might ending in worship reshape the way you view human intelligence and God’s infinite wisdom?
All-wise God, your wisdom is beyond searching, and your knowledge beyond my grasp. From you, through you, and to you are all things. To you be glory forever. Amen.
