All the Days of My Life

Silence and stillness before God (2 minutes)

Scripture reading:
Psalm 23:6b

…all the days of my life…

Devotional

David does not say God’s love is seasonal or occasional; it is lifelong. All the days of my life—the bright days and the dark, the easy and the hard, the youthful and the ageing. God’s shepherding care never runs out.

This is a reminder of God’s constancy. Human love can waver; circumstances can change. But God’s love is steady, unbroken across every stage of life. From birth to death, from the first cry to the final breath, the Shepherd remains faithful.

For the believer, this gives immense comfort. We are not promised a life without trials, but we are promised a Shepherd who never abandons. His goodness and love are not just at the start of the journey but accompany us every step of the way.

Question to consider

How does the assurance that God’s love is with you “all the days of your life” give you confidence for the season you are in right now?

Prayer

Faithful Shepherd, thank you that your love never leaves me. Be with me in every season of life, and help me to trust you all my days.
