WAYFORM apprentice note #
5

Johari Window

This note unpacks the conversational dynamics of mentorship.

1) WE KNOW — OPEN AREA

This is the quadrant of common knowledge. It's everything we both know about you: your name, job, context, etc. Conversation here is light and easy.

2) YOU KNOW — VULNERABILITY

Quadrant 2 is where you begin to share things about yourself that I don't know. It's called vulnerability, and it's important to build a trusting relationship that can sustain deep sharing.

3) I KNOW — BLIND SPOT

The third quadrant is called "the blind spot." It's everything I can see in you that you can't see in yourself. Gently, slowly, and with great care, I can speak the truth in love and help you grow in the Way of Jesus.

4) GOD KNOWS — REVELATION

The final quadrant is the most exciting one—it's what only God knows and desires to make known to us through revelation. Here, we pray for Him to speak, reveal, and guide.
