The Book of

Judges

In Judges, the Israelites turn away from God and face the consequences. God raises judges in cycles of rebellion, repentance, and restoration.

CHRIST IN SCRIPTURE SERMON

Christ in Judges

“In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit.” With those words the dark and violent Book of Judges comes to a close. In Judges, Israel are stuck in the Cycle of Sin (Sin - Oppression - Repentance - Deliverance - Peace) with no way to get out. In this message, Benjamin Shanks explores how Jesus gets us out of the cycle of sin. To break the cycle of sin, we need: 1 — A COMMUNITY AROUND US; 2 — A SAVIOUR AMONG US; 3 — A KING ABOVE US.
